Jaipur Art Week Edition 4.0, Avato Bairo Baje brings together 20+ emerging and mid-career contemporary artists with tangible and symbolic connections to Rajasthan, alongside the works of 10+ acclaimed artists from across the globe.

Taking a co-created approach, we are committed to ensure every artist has limitless opportunities, regardless of their background, to share their work and flourish with our support, putting the artists voice first. Through an Open Call format receiving 250+ applications, artists were selected by a jury of international arts professionals, comprising Darius Sanai, Judith Greer, Rana Begum and Jai Danani. Selected artists also received mentorship from Nandan Ghiya and Manisha Gera Baswani.

This year’s highlights include: Highlights include: Manisha Gera Baswani’s exhibition A New Skin, in partnership with Gallery Espace, inaugurating the Public Arts Trust of India’s Jaipur HQ; Nandan Ghiya’s Manthan, a co-commission with Liverpool Biennial at Jal Mahal; Lorenzo Vitturi in partnership with Jaipur Rugs at Hawa Mahal; design workshops led by Kumkum Fernando in the Walled City; Social Design Collaborative’s take over of the historic Albert Hall Museum frontage; Villa Swagatam Artist-in-Residence Gaspard Combes interactive week-long sculpture workshop at Jawahar Kala Kendra with Institut Français; and the screening of selected Moving Image works from the British Council Collection, in partnership with British Council India.
